Statement of Faith
Our Stance:
1. We are believers in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus).
2. We are not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah (Christ).
3. We stand behind the State of Israel, and it’s right to exist.
Doctrine Statement:
The Holy Scriptures (Psalm 119:89, Isaiah 40:7-8 & 2Tim. 3:15-17):
We believe the Holy Scriptures consists of the Tenach (Old Testament) and the Brit Chadasha (New Testament). It is the only infallible, inerrant, and inspired (God-breathed) Word of God in the original languages. We recognize that they are the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
God (Deut. 6:4-5, Matt. 28:19, & 1John 5:7):
God is one (echad). We believe that God is one. The Bible teaches the one triune Godhead, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. A united one, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness.
1. God the Father – Exod. 4:22, John 14:28, & 1Cor. 8:6
2. God the Son [Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ)] – Isa. 7:14; 9:6, John 1:1-14, & Phil. 2:5-11
3. The Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) – Neh. 9:20, John 15:26, & Rom. 8:9
Israel (Jn 15:1-6, Gen. 12:1-3, & Rom. 11:1-29):
We believe Israel is God’s chosen people. God chose a people to Himself who are the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; that God has made four unconditional covenants with this elect nation that have remained unfulfilled – God intends to fulfill all His promises to Israel in a literal way just as His warnings and judgments were fulfilled in a literal way. In Israel’s history of unbelief, there has always been a believing remnant according to the election of grace. There will be a national regeneration of Israel at which time all of the provisions of the unconditional covenants will be fulfilled, including the seed, land, and blessing aspects. Jewish believers in Yeshua have a unique twofold identity. They are the spiritual remnant of physical Israel and at the same time are part of the body of Messiah. While the Church (the Body of Messiah), are partakers of the spiritual blessings of the root (Jn 15:1-6), they do not replace Israel. The Church has not replaced Israel, nor is it itself “spiritual Israel”. God’s covenant with the Nation of Israel thru Abraham is eternal and unconditional.
Church (Acts 2, 1Cor. 12:12-14, Eph. 5:23 & James 2):
We believe that all believers in Yeshua are members of the universal body (community) and bride of the Messiah. The body of Messiah began at Shavuot (Pentecost) with the baptism of the Holy Spirit after the ascension of Yeshua. Membership in the body is based solely on faith in Messiah. This body is distinct from Israel and is composed of both Jews and Gentiles made one in Messiah. These members are under the solemn duty to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of love. We believe that the ordinances of the local church are water immersion and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that the purpose of the local church is to glorify God through worship, instruction, accountability, discipline, fellowship and outreach. Its eldership is open to men who fulfill the qualifications for elder as set forth in the New Covenant. The Scriptures encourage the active participation and regular assembly of believers in the local body.
We believe the “Middle wall of partition” has been broken down. There is only one God, one Faith, and one body of believers; the Jew and Gentile worshipping the God of Israel together through Messiah. The Jewish people who place their faith in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) continue to be Jewish according to the Scriptures. Gentiles who place their faith in Yeshua (Jesus), are grafted into the Jewish Olive Tree of faith – (Rom. 9-11 & Eph. 2:14-15) – However, Jews remain Jews; now completed and redeemed, and Gentiles remain Gentiles; now redeemed.
Creation and abortion:
Man is not a product of evolution, but was created in the image of God.(Gen. 1:1-30, Psalm 19:1-6, & John 1:1-3)
We believe that human life begins at conception and the unborn child is a human being. Abortion is murder, as it constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life.(Psalm 139:14-16, Isa. 44:24, & Luke 1:44)
Fall of man (Gen. 3:1-24, Isa. 53:6, & Rom. 3:23; 5:12-19):
We believe that man was created in the image of God. By Adam’s sin, the human race fell and became separated from God. All men are born with a sinful nature, and have no ability and remedy to save themselves.
Salvation (Lev. 17:11, Deut. 9:4-6, Acts 16:31, Rom. 10:9-13, & Eph. 2:8-10):
We believe that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Salvation is only accomplished by Messiah’s righteousness and atoning blood, through his death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation has always been by faith, and that works have never saved anyone.
Assurance (John 6:37-40 & Romans 8:38-39):
We believe the Holy Scriptures teaches us that all the redeemed once saved are kept by the power and grace of God, eternally secure in Messiah.
Heaven, Hell, and Judgment:
Heaven is a place which Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) has prepared for his own, and Hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels. We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the eternal conscious separation of the lost in Hell.(Luke 16:19-31, John 14:1-3, & Rev. 3:12; 20:14-15; 21:4)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust: The just to everlasting life and the unjust to eternal suffering and separation from God.(1Thess. 4:16-17 & Rev. 20:4-6, 11-15)
The Last Days (Dan. 9:24-27; 12:2, Ezek. 23:33-40, Matt. 25:46, 1Thess. 4:13-18, & Rev. 20, 21):
We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulational rapture of the church. We believe that sometime after the Rapture, the Tribulation of Israel’s 70th week will occur for 7 years. After the 7-year tribulation, we believe in the pre-millennial personal, visible, and bodily return of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) to the Earth. King Messiah will rule with his saints for 1,000 years upon the Earth. After the 1,000 years, there will come a new Heaven and Earth, which will last for an eternity.
